We have achieved the full amount required to complete the purchase of the village phone box (K6) and a little left over to refurbish it. For the moment we won't be calling it and will let you know as soon as it is needed. |

Recently a Mitsubishi Shogun was seen travelling, without lights following a quad bike, towards Manuden in the early hours of the morning; a quad bike had been reported stolen from Stocking Pelham. A safe was removed from Bonney’s in Manuden, and on Monday 27th Oct 3 people, wearing balaclavas, in either a Patrol or a Shogun (dark coloured) hit Clavering Mills and stole a black Range Rover. The owner having been awakened by the noise tried to pursue them and got knocked over for his efforts. A suspicious vehicle was seen one evening in the Dewes Green area - a black Land Rover Discovery (not very new). It left the field at high speed without lights. So please be on your guard and report anything suspicious to the police. If you have any information that you would like to pass on to your neighbours ring 777784. |

We had a particularly well attended Annual Parish Meeting on Monday evening, which included a excellent presentation by Michael Fairchild, an SSE volunteer. The minutes will be made available shortly but in the meantime we all need to be sending in our responses to the NATS Consultation, The deadline date has been extended from May 22nd to June 19th. To help with your response click on download SSE response advice pdf file |

This is a particularly important meeting as it will be your opportunity to have your say on the NATS proposals for flight path changes and the application for the second runway. There will be a representative from SSE to help the process. Do come along to the village hall and support your village. |
