John Tippett has decided (must be mad) to run a Berden Marathon of 26.2 miles to raise money for cancer charities. So far he has completed a successful training run of 18 miles and will have run well over 1,000 miles in preparation. Why a Marathon ? John said that combining the feeling of helplessness as a dear friend fights her cancer and a long time desire to run a marathon could hopefully be combined to turn the helplessness into something more positive. NATS has withdrawn the original date for implementation of the changes proposed for March 2009. It is not in a position to give a revised timescale. They say that they will take as long as is necessary to give full consideration to the feedback from the consultation and will undertake further consultation if required. |
