Why not stop by and leave us a message in the Berden Guestbook?

I used to take the school bus from Manuden to Clavering to catch another bus to go to what was then the Saffron Walden Technical and Modern School. This was from 1957 to 1963. I used to look forward to the stop by the blacksmith so I could watch him work. The girl we picked up there was Barbara Smithers. Her parents owned the shop. I am now living in the U.S.A. and hope that one day soon I can return and retrace that bus route through your beautiful village.
