Has anyone successfully managed to get 1 or even 2mb Broadband in Berden or surrounding villages?

Yes, some of my clients have 1 and 2MB broadband

There are quite a few of us with various speeds of broadband, but not 2 mb., I was told it is not available for our area. Usually it works very well, however, BT are having problems keeping up and very occasionally we have issues.

One of my clients in Berden just been upgraded to 2MB (at no extra cost)

Great news!

After trying for I don't know how long, My ISP should be upgrading me to 1meg as I type!
2mb is very interesting, I'm closer to the exchange than most of Berden... hmmmm

We had BT install our broadband (after waiting six weeks following our move to St Nics). The engineer told me that though there is a theoretical 2 mb in Berden, the distance is so great, the volt drop in the cables was likely to reduce performance and bandwidth considerably. We upgraded from 500k to 1mb and saw no improvement in performance whatsoever.
