The Village Hall in Berden is situated on the outskirts of the village, on the Clavering road. Originally the Methodist Chapel, it was acquired by the Parish Council in the late 1940's for the use of the community, and has since undergone various improvement programmes; the latest was a Lottery-funded extension which has had a major impact on the functions which the Hall can accommodate, and the atmosphere which it generates.

The Hall is used for many Village functions, such as the Women's Institute*, the Mothers' Union*, Line Dancing*, Yoga Classes*, Drama Group* productions, Parish Council* meetings, and particularly the Social Club *, which uses the Hall on Fridays and Sundays with a Licensed Bar, and for other events as and when they occur; this can include the Midsummer Ball, Birthday Parties . . . anything you can think of. It is also used as the Polling Station for Local and National Elections.
