Berden has finally appeared on Google's "Street View" allowing an online, panoramic, photgraphic tour of the village. What do you think? Is this an excellent extension of existing maps and has all sorts of intersting and practical uses OR is it a ridiculous waste of time OR even does it compromise your privacy? maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8...,359.998375&z=19 What do you think?

The technology amazes me, the thought of it I find very invasive. I would rather people not have a close up view of my home and family at their finger tips. Miriam

The facility does exist for individuals to have their address "fuzzed out" on request - as fun as it is, there have been reports in the press of criminals using it to gauge the affluence of a particular area before planning burglaries but i think that might have been over stressed by the press
