Hi everyone,

I have just moved to the area and wondered if there are any local Archaeological groups that would like my assistance.
I have worked as a "tame" metal detectorist on several important projects including the "Durrington Walls riverside project" near woodhenge/stonehenge with Bristol & Sheffield universities and more recently with Kent & Oxford Archaeology on the Thanet Way Bypass scheme (and as such am on Kent Archaeologys approved list)- I am self funding and do not expect to keep any finds made on Archaeological projects - I just do it for the enjoyment and furtherance of historical knowledge.

In addition if anyone in the area ever loses a valuable item in their garden or on their land (be it a gold ring or an important part off a tractor)then give me a shout and I will come and have a search for it for you free of charge.

I do this purely as a hobby and never treat detecting as a money making exercise! I am a member of the National Council for Metal Detecting and carry 5 million pounds of public liability insurance...

Oh and if I can be a bit cheeky - if anyone has the odd spare field that they wouldnt mind me going on that would also be brilliant!
