Annual Footpaths Day – Meet at the Village Hall for 11.00 a.m.

The walks bring you back to the Village Hall where barbeques will be lit and the bar will be open. Bring your own food to cook on the barbecue – salads will be provided.

And on the same day for those who like two wheels –

The Sustrans Cycle Treasure Hunt.

This is gentle ride that will suit all ages and gives the opportunity to explore the lanes around Berden and Clavering. The event is not timed and winning will be all about observation along the quiet 9 mile route.

Groups will leave Berden Village Hall between 10:30 and 11.00 a.m., returning for lunch, refreshments and prizes by 1.00 p.m.

The cycling event is organised by local volunteers of Sustrans (the sustainable transport charity www.sustrans.org.uk).and will take in a short section of National Cycle Route 11 which runs through the east side of the village. The route will be marshalled and signed.

Cost for the treasure hunt including lunch will be £5.00 or if you bring your own food to cook on the barbecue just £2.00.
